Job summary

TeacherActive Limited is seeking a Primary Teaching Assistant for flexible supply work across the East Midlands. You will support learning in early years to KS2, in various schools, adapting to different classrooms and needs.

The role offers daily rates of £95-£110, paid weekly through PAYE, with DBS checks and safeguarding at the core. A caring, proactive approach and strong communication help you thrive in busy environments.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children in a UK education setting.
• A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant or childcare qualification is desirable.
• A caring, proactive approach and flexibility to adapt.
• Strong communication skills and passion for children’s development.
• Commitment to safeguarding and Enhanced DBS on Update Service, or willingness to apply.

Responsibilities

• Supporting learning through classroom, small-group and one-to-one activities.
• Helping children build confidence, independence and social skills.
• Adapting support to different abilities, including pupils with SEND.
• Working alongside teachers to create a welcoming, inclusive classroom.
• Encouraging positive behaviour and keeping children engaged.
