Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking an experienced Healthcare Assistant to provide flexible treatment room sessions across primary care services in Pembroke Dock. You will support nursing and clinical teams with routine duties in GP environments, ensuring smooth patient flow.

You will perform routine observations, assist with wound care and ECGs, and update digital records. DBS is enhanced and essential for the role; ad‑hoc or regular sessions available across local clinics.

Qualifications

• Previous HCA experience in primary care or NHS clinical settings.
• Confident performing routine clinical observations.
• Phlebotomy experience desirable.
• Strong communication and patient interaction skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly to different clinic environments.
• Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out routine clinical observations including BP, pulse and temperature.
• Supporting treatment room procedures such as wound care and dressings.
• Performing ECGs and basic health checks.
• Assisting with phlebotomy if trained.
• Updating digital patient records in line with service protocols.
• Supporting clinicians with general duties where needed.
• Maintaining a clean and safe clinical environment.
