Job summary

Disability North is seeking a Female Personal Assistant to support Lindsay in Newcastle upon Tyne. The role covers domestic and social care tasks, with 22 hours per week across varied days and a rate of £14.50 per hour.

You will help with daily living—cooking, cleaning, laundry, medications and appointments—while enabling Lindsay to explore activities such as baking, writing classes, and light adventures. A driving licence and DBS check are preferred.

Qualifications

• Basic IT skills required due to Lindsay's needs.
• Full UK driving licence advantageous and car insurance in place.
• DBS check and references required.
• There is a genuine occupational requirement for a female candidate.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities such as cooking/baking.
• Cleaning and laundry.
• Managing medications and medical appointments.
• Plan routes and transport to enable Lindsay's activities.
• Support Lindsay with day trips and outings.
• Respect privacy and confidentiality.
