Job summary

Step Teachers is seeking a qualified PE Teacher to deliver engaging lessons across Tottenham and surrounding areas, offering flexibility for short- and long-term placements. You will work with pupils in different year groups, following provided plans and promoting safe, enjoyable physical activity.

Ideal candidates hold QTS or equivalent, demonstrate strong PE knowledge, and can motivate mixed-ability classes.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent is required for eligibility to teach in UK schools.
• Strong knowledge of Physical Education and sports science to plan engaging lessons.
• Experience teaching PE to female students is essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging PE lessons following provided plans.
• Lead practical sports sessions safely indoors and outdoors.
• Promote physical fitness, teamwork, and positive participation.
• Teach PE to female student groups; experience in this area is essential.
• Encourage confidence, resilience, and healthy lifestyle habits.
• Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies.
• Support extracurricular sporting opportunities when required.
• Assess and record pupil progress as needed.
