Job summary

Lift Kingswood is seeking a passionate PE Teacher to join our team and contribute to delivering world-class PE provision. You will plan engaging lessons, track progress and provide constructive feedback, while working with colleagues, pastoral staff and parents to support every student’s development.

The post requires QTS or current training to achieve QTS by September 2026, or a degree in sport and a pathway through our in-house Instructor training route leading to QTS within two years.

Qualifications

• Must have QTS or be training to achieve QTS by Sep 2026.
• Passion for teaching PE and love for the subject.
• Desire to make a difference to young people's lives.
• Committed to great relationships and high-quality teaching.

Responsibilities

• Plan and teach lessons that engage students and build understanding.
• Adapt teaching to meet needs of all learners including SEND, EAL and high ability.
• Use assessment and feedback to help students progress and close gaps.
• Build a positive classroom culture with high expectations for behaviour.
• Collaborate with colleagues, pastoral staff and parents to support students.
