Job summary

Athona Limited is seeking a Part-Time Band 7 Highly Specialist Neuro Occupational Therapist in Birmingham for 22.5 hours weekly, with flexible days and ASAP start for 12 weeks. The role focuses on patients with complex rehabilitation needs, frailty and neurological conditions following a recent neurological event.

You will work autonomously within guidelines, supervise junior staff, and contribute to service development and audits while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Specialist OT with neuro rehab expertise.
• HCPC registered Occupational Therapist.
• Ability to supervise junior staff and assistants.
• Experience in governance and service development.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality occupational therapy for patients with frailty and neurological conditions.
• Work autonomously within professional guidelines and govern OT practice within the service.
• Supervise assessments and therapy plans by junior therapists and rehab assistants.
• Collaborate in an interdisciplinary team and contribute to service development.
• Support audits, policy development and research activities.
• Assist the Service Manager in reviewing and implementing service improvements.
