Job summary

Athona Limited is partnering with an NHS client in Birmingham to recruit a Part‑Time Band 7 Occupational Therapist Clinical Specialist.

You will deliver highly specialist assessments and interventions, provide clinical leadership to the brain injury therapy team, and support vocational rehabilitation.

This 22.5‑hour per week role starts ASAP for an initial 12 weeks, with flexible working days and negotiable hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Current HCPC registration required.
• Specialist experience in brain injury rehabilitation.

Responsibilities

• Provide highly specialist occupational therapy and clinical leadership for the brain injury therapy team.
• Deliver skilled assessments and interventions using occupational therapy principles.
• Promote and coordinate job retention activities within interdisciplinary teams.
• Liaise with internal services and external agencies to support vocational rehabilitation.
• Work with clients and employers to undertake vocational assessments, training, work placements and reintroduction into appropriate workplace settings.
• Play an integral role within the interdisciplinary team, contributing clinically and to service development.
• Evaluate Occupational Therapy interventions in line with national service specifications and guidelines.
• Support the Service Manager in reviewing services and implementing service developments.
