Job summary

• Declare if you have invigilated before and any sanctions.
• Confirm availability to exams officer before main exam periods.
• Follow confidentiality and security requirements in invigilation.
• Be reliable, flexible and available during main examination periods.
• Have effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Work well as part of the Exam Invigilation team.
• Be a confident, reassuring presence to candidates in exam rooms.
• Use basic IT skills (email, mobile messaging).
• Strive to understand JCQ regulations and be competent in the role.

Responsibilities

• Conduct examinations in accordance with JCQ, awarding body and Trinity Academy rules.
• Before examinations: brief by exams officer, secure papers, set up rooms, admit candidates, identify seating.
• During examinations: supervise, minimize disruption, handle irregularities, complete attendance registers.
• After examinations: collect scripts and return materials, inform of results.
• Attend training and complete online invigilator training as required.
• Support other exam-related administrative tasks as needed.
