Job summary

The Filo Project CIC is seeking a friendly, organised Community Connector to help people in the local area access support and stay connected with their communities. You will build relationships with local organisations, visit homes, attend events and support referral pathways.

This flexible part-time role (5–10 hours per week) is home-based with travel across the local area. You’ll receive equipment and training, plus mileage expenses, and work with a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
• Empathetic and respectful approach to working with older people and communities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good IT skills and familiarity with Google Docs/Sheets/Meet.

Responsibilities

• Raise awareness of The Filo Project and the services offered.
• Develop connections with local health and social care services and community organisations.
• Identify referral opportunities and help clients access services.
• Complete client assessments in clients' homes following referrals.
• Arrange and complete risk assessments for potential hosts.
• Maintain accurate records for clients and hosts.
