Job summary

Elmbridge Borough Council is seeking a Project Officer to support the Voluntary Sector through the Community Connectors programme. You will work closely with colleagues and partners, contributing to projects that improve local communities and centralise resources for voluntary groups.

The role requires strong organisation, proactive collaboration and the ability to manage multiple streams, with flexible and hybrid working arrangements offered.

Qualifications

• Fluency in spoken and written English and proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Experience influencing and supporting positive change at multiple levels.
• Project administration experience with research and analysis.
• Experience with office systems and maintaining processes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Understanding of data protection requirements.
• Strong problem-solving skills with ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of Elmbridge’s Community Connector Programme.
• Collaborate across the council and with partners to centralise resources for the Voluntary Sector.
• Undertake research and evaluation of internal work and external best practice.
• Prepare updates for stakeholders, elected members and colleagues.
