Dewis Centre for Independent Living in Cardiff is seeking two Personal Assistants to support a 10-year-old boy with autism at home in Ely and in the community. The role covers after-school hours, with 3 hours in term time and 6 hours in school holidays, typically Monday to Friday 16.30–19.30, at £15.55 per hour.

Support includes helping with daily activities, community access, and safe transport while the child uses a wheelchair and enjoys crafts, gaming and park trips.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with autism is beneficial.
• Ability to be patient, reliable and punctual.

Responsabilités

• Support the child at home and when in the community.
• Ensure safety and assist with everyday tasks.
• Assist with crafting, shopping for activities, and park visits.
• Join the child on outings using their tricycle and assist with mobility.
