Job summary

Spire Portsmouth Hospital is seeking an experienced Oncology Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy team on a bank basis. You will contribute to safe and effective chemotherapy delivery within a modern private hospital environment, working as part of a multidisciplinary team to support patient care.

Here you will review medications, assess complex needs, provide specialist oncology pharmacy advice, and help ensure high standards of governance and practice.

Qualifications

Current GPhC Registration is required.
Valid BOPA SACT Passport is required.
Minimum of one year's Oncology Pharmacy experience.

Responsibilities

Plan, monitor and quality assure the application of technology in chemotherapy treatments.
Assess the health and wellbeing of patients with complex and changing pharmaceutical needs.
Work with the multidisciplinary team to support oncology and pharmaceutical requirements.
Review medication histories, prescriptions and clinical information to ensure safe treatment.
Plan, deliver and evaluate pharmaceutical care to meet patient needs.
Provide specialist oncology pharmacy advice and respond to queries.
Support safe use of oncology medicines in line with governance and best practices.
