Phoenix Dyslexia Consulting Ltd is seeking a Specialist Academic Note-Taker to support a visually impaired Physiotherapy student at Sheffield Hallam University. The role blends on-campus attendance with remote note-taking, with flexible hours to fit the student timetable.

You will attend lectures, take accurate notes, and provide them in accessible formats. No prior note-taking experience is required; full training and ongoing support are provided.

Qualifications

• Excellent written English and attention to detail.
• Organised, reliable, and able to meet deadlines.
• Willing to learn, undergo training, and use Microsoft Word and email.
• Ability to attend scheduled teaching sessions.
• Good spelling and grammar.

Responsibilities

• Attend lectures, seminars and learning sessions.
• Produce clear, accurate, and well-organised notes.
• Record key information, discussions, demonstrations and learning points.
• Submit notes within agreed timescales.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
• Communicate effectively with the student and support provider.
• Adapt note-taking methods for a visually impaired student using assistive technology.
