Job summary

Newfriars College is seeking flexible minibus drivers to transport learners aged 16–25 to college and on trips. You will work with a supportive Transport Team to ensure safety and seating, including assisting students on/off and wheelchair escorts where needed.

The role requires casual hours to cover morning pickups, mid-day trips, and after-school drops, with short-notice requests and a focus on safeguarding and reliability. An enhanced DBS process applies.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid UK driving license.
• Experience driving minibuses is preferred.
• Ability to assist students on/off the bus and ensure seating safety.

Responsibilities

• Drive college minibuses ensuring the welfare and safety of students during transit.
• Assist students on and off the bus, ensuring secure seating using appropriate restraints.
• Escort wheelchair-bound students if required and follow procedures in case of vehicle breakdown.
