Job summary

Belmont Recruitment is looking for an experienced Mental Health Support Worker to join our team across Blackpool, Kendal and Barrow. You will provide person-centred care to individuals with mental health difficulties and support daily routines.

The role offers flexible shifts including days, nights, weekends and bank holidays, with competitive pay and a dedicated recruitment and compliance team to help you through the registration process.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within mental health, care or support services.
• Current restraint / physical intervention training is essential.
• PMVA, CPI, MAPA, Breakaway or equivalent recognised training is desirable.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A professional, reliable and compassionate approach.
• Flexibility to work days, nights, weekends and bank holidays.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Satisfactory references and relevant employment checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to individuals experiencing mental health difficulties.
• Help promote independence, dignity and wellbeing while supporting individuals with their daily routines and activities.
• Work closely with nurses and other healthcare professionals and may support individuals who display challenging behaviour.
• Maintain accurate care records and follow safeguarding, health and safety, and care procedures at all times.
