Job summary

Belmont Recruitment is seeking an experienced Mental Health Support Worker to join our team across services in Blackpool, Kendal and Barrow. You will provide person-centred care and support to individuals experiencing mental health difficulties, promoting independence and wellbeing.

You will work closely with nurses and other healthcare professionals, maintain care records, and follow safeguarding, health and safety procedures. Day and night shifts with flexible patterns available.

Qualifications

• Experience in mental health, care or support services.
• Current restraint / physical intervention training essential.
• PMVA, CPI, MAPA, Breakaway or equivalent training desirable.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A professional, reliable and compassionate approach.
• Flexibility to work days, nights, weekends and bank holidays.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Satisfactory references and relevant employment checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to individuals experiencing mental health difficulties.
• Promote independence, dignity and wellbeing while supporting individuals with their daily routines and activities.
• Work closely with nurses and other healthcare professionals and may support individuals who display challenging behaviour.
• Maintain accurate care records and follow safeguarding, health and safety, and care procedures at all times.
