Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a Locum Practice Nurse to work across Ashtead and nearby GP practices. The role offers fully flexible sessional work with weekday, evening or weekend availability, matching you to local needs.

You will perform treatment room duties, chronic disease management, immunisations (if trained) and health checks, backed by clear protocols and supportive teams in primary care.

Qualifications

• NMC-registered nurse with primary care experience.
• Immunisation and cytology training beneficial.
• Confident in routine nursing tasks and treatment room clinics.
• Enhanced DBS clearance.

Responsibilities

• Delivering treatment room clinics including wound care and dressings.
• Supporting chronic disease management within established care plans.
• Carrying out immunisations for adults and children (if trained).
• Undertaking smear tests where cytology-trained.
• Performing NHS Health Checks and lifestyle assessments.
• Recording accurate clinical notes for each service.
• Assisting with general nursing duties as required.
