Job summary

Locum Ready is actively seeking Locum Practice Nurses to cover sessions in Welwyn. This role offers fully flexible, ad-hoc or ongoing bookings across primary care services, with opportunities for weekday, evening, or weekend work.

Ideal candidates are NMC-registered with primary care experience, and immunisation or cytology training is a plus. You will work with multiple GP teams, following established protocols and structured workflows.

Qualifications

• NMC-registered nurse with primary care experience.
• Immunisation training and Cytology training are beneficial.
• Comfortable with routine nursing tasks and treatment room clinics.

Responsibilities

• Deliver treatment room clinics including wound care and dressings.
• Support chronic disease management within established care plans.
• Carry out immunisations for adults and children (if trained).
• Undertake smear tests where cytology-trained.
• Perform NHS Health Checks and lifestyle assessments.
• Record accurate clinical notes for each service.
• Assist with general nursing duties as required.
