Job summary

Locum Ready in Windermere is seeking experienced Nurse Practitioners for flexible, sessional work across primary care clinics. You will lead NP-led clinics, manage minor illness and triage, and provide safe clinical care across varied settings.

The role supports ongoing or ad-hoc bookings with clear procedures and expectations. Applicants should be a Registered Nurse Practitioner with relevant clinical background; independent prescribing is desirable, and DBS checks are required.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse Practitioner with relevant clinical background.
• Independent Prescribing qualification desirable.
• Experience in GP, urgent care, walk-in or community settings.
• Strong assessment and decision-making skills.
• Adaptability across different clinical environments.
• Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Running independent NP clinics across primary care services
• Managing minor illness presentations and routine patient assessments
• Providing telephone or face-to-face triage
• Prescribing within scope (if qualified)
• Handling clinical actions such as results and medication reviews
• Recording accurate and compliant clinical notes
• Supporting wider clinical teams where required
