Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking Locum Nurse Practitioners to work flexibly across primary care settings in Cross Hands and surrounding areas. You will lead NP clinics, manage minor illnesses, triage patients by phone or in person and prescribe within your scope if qualified.

Roles offer independent, ongoing or ad-hoc bookings with DBS checks in place and a strong emphasis on local practice matching to fit your availability.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse Practitioner with relevant clinical background.
• Independent Prescribing qualification desirable.
• Experience in GP, urgent care, walk-in or community settings.
• Strong assessment and decision-making skills.
• Adaptability when working across different clinical environments.
• Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Running independent NP clinics across primary care services.
• Managing minor illness presentations and routine patient assessments.
• Providing telephone or face-to-face triage.
• Prescribing within scope (if qualified).
• Handling clinical actions such as results and medication reviews.
• Recording accurate and compliant clinical notes.
• Supporting wider clinical teams where required.
