Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking Locum Healthcare Assistants for flexible sessional work across community clinics, GP surgeries and primary care services in Walton-on-Thames. You will support patient assessments and routine clinical tasks, helping maintain an efficient clinic environment.

Ideal candidates have HCA experience in primary care or NHS settings, with phlebotomy skills being beneficial. DBS clearance is required and shifts include weekdays, evenings, or weekends to fit your schedule.

Qualifications

• Experience working as an HCA in primary care, community or NHS settings.
• Phlebotomy skills beneficial.
• Confident in carrying out standardised clinical tasks.
• Strong communication and time-management abilities.
• Enhanced DBS

Responsibilities

• Conduct basic patient observations including BP, pulse and temperature.
• Support routine treatment room procedures.
• Carry out ECGs and basic health checks.
• Perform phlebotomy if trained.
• Assist with patient education and lifestyle advice.
• Update clinical notes accurately in service systems.
• Provide general clinical support to nurses and GPs.
