Job summary

Locum Ready in Staines-upon-Thames is seeking Locum Healthcare Assistants for flexible, sessional work across community clinics and GP surgeries. You will support patient assessments, carry out routine clinical procedures and help maintain an efficient clinic environment.

This role offers fully flexible sessions including weekdays, evenings and weekends, with opportunities for ad-hoc and regular bookings. DBS check is required.

Qualifications

• Experience as an HCA in primary care, community or NHS settings.
• Phlebotomy skills beneficial.
• Confident with standardised clinical tasks.
• Strong communication and time-management abilities.
• Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Conduct basic patient observations including BP, pulse and temperature.
• Support routine treatment room procedures.
• Carry out ECGs and basic health checks.
• Perform phlebotomy if trained.
• Assist with patient education and lifestyle advice.
• Update clinical notes accurately in service systems.
• Provide general clinical support to nurses and GPs.
