Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a GMC-registered General Practitioner to work across a GP practice in Birmingham. This flexible role offers ad-hoc or regular sessions with strong administrative support and clear daily workflows.

You will handle routine and urgent clinics, triage via telephone, review investigations, and document using the clinic system. Ongoing bookings and potential long-term arrangements are available.

Qualifications

• GMC-registered General Practitioner with UK license
• Active inclusion on NHS Performers List
• Recent UK primary care experience
• Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills
• Familiarity with EMIS, SystmOne or similar systems
• Valid indemnity and Enhanced DBS

Responsibilities

• Running routine and urgent GP clinics
• Managing acute presentations and complex cases
• Providing telephone consultations and triage as part of daily workflow
• Reviewing investigations, results and medication queries
• Prescribing safely and appropriately
• Documenting consultations clearly using the clinical system
• Supporting the practice with clinical actions and follow-up tasks
