Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a GMC-registered General Practitioner to work in a Reading GP practice on flexible, well-organised sessions. The role offers a supportive primary care environment with established workflows and strong admin support.

You will manage a varied caseload, perform patient assessments, conduct triage and telephone consultations, review results, and prescribe safely using EMIS or SystmOne. Ongoing bookings with long-term potential.

Qualifications

• GMC-registered General Practitioner with UK registration.
• Active inclusion on NHS Performers List.
• Recent UK primary care experience.
• Valid indemnity and Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Running routine and urgent GP clinics.
• Managing acute presentations and complex cases.
• Providing telephone consultations and triage as part of daily workflow.
• Reviewing investigations, results and medication queries.
• Prescribing safely and appropriately.
• Documenting consultations clearly using the clinical system.
• Supporting the practice with clinical actions and follow-up tasks.
