Job summary

Locums First is seeking Locum Advanced Clinical Practitioners to work in Millom across local GP practices. Flexible sessional work with choices on weekly availability, including short-notice cover and regular bookings.

As an ACP you will deliver autonomous assessments, manage acute presentations and support routine primary care activity, with prescribing within your scope where qualified. DBS enhanced is likely required and scope varies by service needs.

Qualifications

• Advanced Clinical Practitioner qualification (Level 7).
• Background in Nursing, Paramedic Science, Physiotherapy or similar.
• Independent Prescribing qualification preferred.
• Experience in GP, UTC, walk-in or urgent care services.
• Ability to adapt to different clinical environments.
• Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Delivering independent ACP-led clinics across local primary care settings.
• Assessing and managing undifferentiated presentations.
• Providing telephone or face-to-face triage.
• Prescribing safely within your scope of practice.
• Supporting clinical workflows such as results and follow-up actions.
• Documenting accurately within service-specific clinical systems.
