Job summary

Aspire People is seeking flexible Day-to-Day and Long-term Supply Teaching Assistants to support local schools in West Bromwich and surrounding areas. Roles offer local work and the chance to contribute to children’s education with engaging, upbeat lessons.

We welcome candidates with Level 2/3 Support teaching qualifications or equivalent, plus experience with children. Aspires People emphasises safeguarding and will conduct standard checks as part of recruitment.

Qualifications

• Level 2/3 TA qualification or ratio equivalent is required.
• Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is expected.
• Strong empathy and understanding of individual student needs are essential.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, staff and parents.
• Patience, resilience and the ability to provide emotional support when needed.
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet evolving student needs and adapt teaching strategies.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized support and assistance to all children.
• Collaborate with the classroom teacher to plan and deliver tailored lessons and activities.
• Support the student's academic, social and emotional development, promoting confidence and independence.
• Create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where the student can thrive.
• Adapt teaching strategies and resources to accommodate learning style and abilities.
• Assist with assessment of student progress and provide feedback to teacher and parents.
• Foster positive relationships with the student and establish clear communication with school and parents.
• Uphold school values, policies and procedures.
