Job summary

Excelcare Holdings, via Sherrell House Care Home in Chigwell, Essex, is seeking a Bank Lifestyle Activities Coordinator to design and coordinate engaging activities for residents, families and staff. You will help create a vibrant lifestyle programme that enriches daily life and wellbeing.

The role operates on a zero-hour contract with shifts 9am–5pm, offering flexible hours and opportunities to make a real difference in residents' lives.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role or caring environment is desirable.
• Able to plan and coordinate activities with attention to detail.
• Confident, with a positive, can-do attitude.
• Genuine desire to improve well-being of older adults.

Responsibilities

• Create and organise meaningful activities and a lifestyle programme for residents.
• Involve staff, families and residents to tailor activities to individual or group needs.
• Develop partnerships with local community organisations, schools, churches and others.
• Plan outings and excursions to expand residents' experiences.
• Aim to empower residents and foster a sociable, enriching daily life.
