Job summary

Operam Education is seeking a flexible and confident Secondary Science Supply Teacher to cover KS3 and KS4 science in a Bradford secondary school. The role is full-time and long-term, starting as soon as possible, delivering lessons across all three science disciplines.

The school supports its senior leadership team and offers CPD opportunities, with a strong focus on safeguarding and pupil wellbeing. A competitive daily rate is available, with PAYE paid weekly.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is required.
• Experience teaching Science across KS3 and KS4 is essential.
• Ability to deliver lessons across a range of science topics.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills are essential.
• Flexible and adaptable approach to teaching and workloads.
• Strong communication and organisational skills are required.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing.
• Enhanced DBS on update service or willingness to apply through Provide Education.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-planned lessons across Science for KS3/KS4.
• Adapt teaching to suit different classroom environments.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
• Keep pupils engaged and on task during lessons.
• Provide feedback to teaching staff on pupil progress and behaviour.
• Build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
