Job summary

Outram Fields within the Cinnamon Care Collection in Bradway, Sheffield, is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to join the catering team on a flexible bank contract. You will support the head chef, prepare meals, and help maintain high hygiene standards in a busy care home environment.

This role covers ad hoc shifts to cover sickness and annual leave, with training opportunities to progress in catering qualifications. A passion for catering and reliable, proactive attitude are valued.

Qualifications

• Experience in kitchen or catering duties is desirable.
• Ability to work under supervision and follow mealtimes and dietary requirements.
• Knowledge of hygiene and safety practices in a kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the Head Chef and catering team to deliver services across the home.
• Prepare nutritional food and beverages to a high standard.
• Maintain hygiene and cleanliness in kitchen and storage areas.
• Prepare special diet meals as needed and report issues promptly.
• Assist with stock control and waste minimisation.
