Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking an Interventions Tutor to provide targeted 1:1 and small-group support to pupils who need extra help to overcome learning barriers. The role covers the Dorset & BCP area with flexible hours and a September 2026 start date.

You will deliver tailored interventions to improve engagement and attainment, build confidence and motivation, and adapt teaching to different learning styles, including learners with SEND such as ASD, SEMH, ADHD and anxiety. DBS check is desirable.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months' experience in an educational setting.
• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND, EHCPs, or additional learning needs.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Patient, creative, and adaptable approach to tutoring.

Responsibilities

• Deliver targeted educational interventions tailored to individual needs.
• Support students to close learning gaps and improve attainment.
• Build confidence, motivation, and engagement with learning.
• Adapt teaching strategies to suit different learning styles.
• Provide progress updates and feedback as required.
