Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a compassionate Primary SEN Tutor to provide personalised 1:1 tuition across the BCP area, supporting primary learners with SEND/EHCP needs. You will tailor learning to each child, helping them build confidence and academic progress while forming positive relationships with education partners.

Roles include flexible hours with a September start, working in partnership with Local Authorities to enable access to learning and foster inclusive education for diverse needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months' experience in an educational setting, including tutoring, teaching, teaching assistant, learning support, mentoring, or similar roles
• Experience supporting primary-aged children
• Experience working with SEND learners is desirable
• Understanding of EHCPs and personalised learning approaches
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
• Driver preferred; alternatively, willingness to travel within the local area

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 tuition to primary learners across the BCP area
• Tailor sessions to individual learning needs and goals
• Work with Local Authorities and schools to support access to learning
• Monitor progress and adapt strategies to support inclusive education
