Job summary

West Dunbartonshire Council is seeking a dedicated Housing Support Worker to assist adults with learning disabilities in a 24/7 service. The role involves personal care, meal preparation, and promoting independence within a person-centred approach.

You will be expected to communicate clearly, work flexibly across shifts, and obtain SSSC registration within 3 months. PVG clearance is required before formal offer.

Qualifications

• Minimum SVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
• Experience of working with adults with learning disabilities.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist supported individuals with personal care and daily living tasks.
• Support development of daily living skills and person-centered plans.
• Monitor and report changes in identified needs and sensitive information.
