Job summary

Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Flexible Hours Shift Porter (Band 2) at Horton General Hospital, Banbury. The role is permanent, with 52 annualised hours and an enhanced rota including nights and weekends. Salary is £22,383 per annum pro rota.

The successful candidate will join the Portering Team and support wards across the site, with training provided and probation of 6 months. Applicants should live within commuting distance and be able to work unsocial hours.

Qualifications

• Educated to GSCE level.
• NVQ Level 2 in support services in healthcare.
• Previous experience in a healthcare environment.
• Ability to work unsocial hours as part of a shift rota.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24hr Portering support to all wards and departments.
• Support the shift-based Portering Team.
• Be flexible to work varied hours across a 24hr rota.
• Ensure safety and confidentiality in handling duties.
• Read and follow the Job Description and Personal Specification.
