Job summary

Speedy is seeking a General Assistant in Grimsby to support depot operations, including deliveries, stock control, and customer service at the hire desk. The role requires working across all depot areas with a focus on helping the depot run smoothly.

The position offers flexible hours with a 42-hour work week and a salary of £29,572 per annum pro rata, plus benefits such as life assurance, pension, canteen facilities, and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Driving licence is required
• Basic computer skills are required
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to adapt quickly to support others
• Ability to support ESG Strategy – Decade to Deliver

Responsibilities

• Work across all depot areas to keep operations running smoothly
• Make deliveries and/or collections and assist with vehicle loading/unloading
• Electrical testing of equipment and stock control
• Serve customers on the hire desk and provide great service
