Job summary

Castle View Academy is seeking an Exams Supervisor to support all stages of the examination process. You will report to the exams officer, brief before sessions and ensure secure handling of papers and papers distribution.

You will assist with room setup, admit candidates and guide conduct during exams, while responding to queries and maintaining vigilance. The role requires clear communication, assertiveness and a flexible approach to hours.

Responsibilities

• Report to exams officer and be briefed before each exam session.
• Keep confidential exam papers and materials secure before, during and after exams.
• Ensure exam rooms are set out according to instructions.
• Admit candidates into exam rooms.
• Identify, seat, and instruct candidates in the conduct of their exams.
• Distribute the correct exam papers and materials to candidates.
• Deal with candidate queries.
• Supervise and observe candidates during exams.
• Minimize disruptions in exam rooms and respond to emergencies.
• Record and report incidents or irregularities.
• Complete attendance registers.
• Address candidate questions as per regulations.
• Instruct candidates in finishing their exams and collect scripts and materials.
• Dismiss candidates from the exam room.
• Securely return all scripts and materials to the exams officer.
• Attend training and review sessions as required.
• Manage timetable clashes and other exam-related administrative tasks.
• Support safeguarding commitments and DBS disclosure processes.
