Job summary

City of Edinburgh Council is recruiting a Cleaning Operative for Trinity Sports Campus. The role involves cleaning a group of buildings, emptying bins, and maintaining a high standard of hygiene across our estate. The post requires PVG scheme membership and may involve security responsibilities as a key-holder.

Qualifications

• Reliable and punctual
• Good attention to detail in cleaning tasks
• Able to work in a team and follow instructions
• Awareness of health and safety in cleaning tasks

Responsibilities

• Empty litter and recycling bins.
• Clean all surfaces, internal glass, floors, furniture, fixtures and fittings within buildings.
• Sanitary areas, toilets and showers kept clean; washroom consumables replenished.
• Carry out emergency and reactive cleaning as needed (graffiti, spillages).
• Care for and clean equipment used for cleaning.
• Support cleaning tasks across other buildings when required.
