Job summary

The City of Edinburgh Council is seeking a Cleaning Operative for Trinity Primary School. This part-time role covers cleaning across our estate, ensuring safe, clean spaces for staff and learners.

Hours are 12.5 per week, 40 weeks per year, Monday to Friday 3:30pm–6:00pm, with flexibility and opportunities for progression. A permanent position offers security, a strong pension, and additional benefits.

Qualifications

• Relevant cleaning duties across multiple buildings.

Responsibilities

• Empty litter and recycling bins.
• Clean all surfaces, glass, floors, furniture, fixtures.
• Sanitary areas, toilets and showers; replenish washroom consumables.
• Emergency and reactive cleaning as required (graffiti, spills).
• Care for cleaning equipment and shared duties across buildings.
