Job summary

The City of Edinburgh Council invites applications for a Health, Safety and Wellbeing Coordinator (OSPI) in Edinburgh. You will support health, safety and staff wellbeing across services and depots, coordinating improvement projects and advising managers on policy and compliance.

Responsibilities include audits, risk assessments, data reporting, and promoting best practice while working with corporate safety teams and unions to enhance staff wellbeing and safe working environments.

Qualifications

• Policy, legislative and organisation related issues guidance
• Audits and records management across the service
• Risk assessments, method statements, operating procedures reporting

Responsibilities

• Coordinating projects and assisting with improvements in processes and facilities
• Providing advice to colleagues and senior managers on policy and compliance
• Coordinating audits and records management and ensuring information systems are accessible
• Reporting health and safety records and driving consistency across Operational Services
• Running service wide Health & Safety Committee and coordinating with unions
