Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking an experienced Healthcare Assistant for flexible treatment room sessions across primary care services in Newquay. You will assist with day-to-day treatment room duties, essential observations and routine procedures, ensuring smooth patient flow and consistent clinical support across the service.

Key duties include routine clinical observations (BP, pulse, temperature), wound care, ECGs and basic health checks.

Qualifications

• Previous HCA experience in primary care or NHS clinical settings.
• Confident performing routine clinical observations.
• Phlebotomy experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine clinical observations including BP, pulse and temperature.
• Support treatment room procedures such as wound care and dressings.
• Perform ECGs and basic health checks.
• Assist with phlebotomy if trained.
• Update digital patient records in line with service protocols.
• Support clinicians with general duties where needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe clinical environment.
