Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking an experienced Healthcare Assistant for flexible treatment room sessions across primary care services in Liskeard. This role supports nursing and clinical teams with routine clinical tasks in GP clinic environments.

You will assist with day-to-day treatment room duties, basic observations, wound care, ECGs, and phlebotomy if trained, helping maintain smooth patient flow and safe clinical care across the service.

Qualifications

• Previous HCA experience in primary care or NHS clinical settings.
• Confident performing routine clinical observations.
• Phlebotomy experience desirable.
• Strong communication and patient interaction skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly to different clinic environments.
• Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine clinical observations including BP, pulse and temperature.
• Support treatment room procedures such as wound care and dressings.
• Perform ECGs and basic health checks.
• Assist with phlebotomy if trained.
• Update digital patient records in line with service protocols.
• Support clinicians with general duties where needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe clinical environment.
