Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a Healthcare Assistant to support regional primary care clinics in Whitstable. The role includes routine clinical tasks, patient-facing procedures and general clinic support to ensure safe, efficient patient care.

You will conduct observations, assist with clinical tasks and help run the day-to-day operations of the GP clinic, adapting to different sites and patient needs across regional locations.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Healthcare Assistant in GP, community, or NHS settings.
• Confident performing routine patient observations and basic clinical tasks.
• Enhanced DBS clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine clinical observations and vital signs.
• Support treatment room tasks and basic procedures.
• Perform ECGs and routine health checks.
• Assist with phlebotomy where trained.
• Record information accurately in clinical systems.
• Provide general assistance to nursing and clinical teams.
• Help maintain smooth patient flow throughout the clinic.
