Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking an experienced Healthcare Assistant for flexible treatment room sessions across primary care services in Stansted Mountfitchet. The role supports nursing and clinical teams, performing routine clinical tasks in GP clinic environments.

You will assist with day-to-day treatment room duties, essential observations and routine procedures, ensuring smooth patient flow and consistent clinical support across the service.

Qualifications

• Experience as HCA in primary care or NHS clinical settings.
• Confident performing routine clinical observations.
• Phlebotomy experience desirable.
• Strong communication and patient interaction skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly to different clinic environments.
• Enhanced DBS clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine clinical observations (BP, pulse, temperature).
• Support treatment room procedures (wound care, dressings).
• Perform ECGs and basic health checks.
• Assist with phlebotomy if trained.
• Update digital patient records per service protocols.
• Support clinicians with general duties as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe clinical environment.
