Job summary

Cardiff and Vale University Health Board invites applications for a salaried GP to work four sessions per week, with flexible days and mentorship for newly qualified GPs or those returning to practice. Qualifications

• Broad experience in primary care and GP practice settings.
• Demonstrated CPD activity and ongoing professional development.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Interest in developing specialist clinical areas and quality improvement.

Responsibilities

• Undertake routine and urgent GP consultations.
• Assess, diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions.
• Prescribe safely in line with guidance and protocols.
• Make appropriate referrals to secondary and community services.
• Review pathology and diagnostic results; manage urgent care.
• Provide home visits where clinically required.
• Maintain accurate EMIS Web records; participate in governance.
