Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a GMC-registered General Practitioner to work on a locum basis at a GP practice in Berkhamsted. You will manage a varied caseload and provide high-quality patient assessments within a supportive primary care environment.

Ideal candidates hold NHS Performers List inclusion, UK primary care experience, and familiarity with EMIS or SystmOne, with indemnity and Enhanced DBS in place. Ad-hoc or regular weekly sessions with long-term arrangements possible.

Qualifications

• GMC-registered General Practitioner.
• Active inclusion on NHS Performers List.
• Recent UK primary care experience.
• Familiarity with EMIS or SystmOne.
• Valid indemnity and Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Running routine and urgent GP clinics.
• Managing acute presentations and complex cases.
• Providing telephone consultations and triage as part of daily workflow.
• Reviewing investigations, results and medication queries.
• Prescribing safely and appropriately.
• Documenting consultations clearly using the clinical system.
• Supporting the practice with clinical actions and follow-up tasks.
