Job summary

Duck & Waffle - London is seeking a Goods Receiver for a busy fine-dining operation. You will check deliveries against orders, ensure quality and proper storage, and handle stock control and uniform distribution in a fast-paced setting.

Ideal candidates have intermediate English, basic product knowledge, and are comfortable with flexible hours. Experience in restaurants or hotels is preferred but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• Intermediate English spoken and reading skills.
• Flexible hours.
• Basic product knowledge.
• Experience in related field (Restaurants or Hotels) is preferred but not mandatory.
• Basic Manual Handling knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Check Weight/Quantity against purchase orders, pending orders sheet and delivery note to ensure correct items are delivered.
• Check Quality/Specification when accepting deliveries.
• Ensure stock rotation is observed with FIFO for perishable products.
• Return/Reject any products that are incorrect, faulty or below standard.
• Communicate shortages or non-deliveries to operational teams and escalate to Purchasing Manager.
• Raise purchase requests based on par stocks to ensure continuity of supply (Chemicals section).
• Post delivery notes and invoices into the purchasing system with amendments for correct charging.
• Be responsible for safe-keeping of staff belongings by manning locker/uniform room.
• Issue staff uniforms.
