Locum Ready is seeking an experienced General Practice Nurse for flexible regional primary care clinic sessions across Olney. This role offers structured treatment room and clinical review work within well-supported GP environments, giving you autonomy and consistency.

You will support local clinical teams with essential nursing duties, chronic disease activity and day-to-day treatment room procedures. Each service provides clear protocols to ensure safe and coordinated patient care.

Qualifications

• NMC-registered nurse with primary care experience.
• Immunisation and cytology training desirable.
• Strong treatment room competency.
• Able to work independently within GP settings.
• Familiar with EMIS Web or SystmOne.
• Enhanced DBS clearance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver treatment room procedures including wound care and dressings.
• Support chronic disease reviews per local care plans.
• Administer adult and childhood immunisations (if trained).
• Perform smear tests where cytology-trained.
• Conduct NHS Health Checks and routine assessments.
• Maintain accurate digital clinical notes.
• Support general nursing duties as required.
