Job Title: Flexible General Assistant

Location: National Cycling Centre

GLL is looking for a Flexible General Assistant to join our team at the National Cycling Centre. You will be involved in key operational services across all areas of the centre, including fitness and sales. If you are passionate about delivering excellent customer service in a leisure environment, this is an exciting opportunity.

The Flexible General Assistant role is varied and suited for someone who thrives in a busy environment and is adaptable to different tasks. Responsibilities include customer service, booking management, ensuring safety and cleanliness of areas and equipment, to provide an exceptional experience for our customers.

Ideal candidates will be calm under pressure, responsible, personable, flexible, punctual, reliable, and have a strong focus on customer service. Passion and personality are highly valued.

• Maintain a positive image of the centre by providing a welcoming, helpful, and professional service
• Prepare areas and equipment for events and activities
• Monitor and perform basic maintenance on equipment and fittings, reporting faults as needed
• Manage daily operations and services for events/activities, ensuring security, cleanliness, supervision, and equipment checks
• Ensure equipment is used safely and is fit for purpose
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness
• Promote the facility to retain current customers, encourage participation, and attract new users
