Job summary

Wishford Schools is seeking a Flexi Nursery Practitioner for Sandcastles Nursery, part of St Faith’s Prep School in the Kent countryside. The role offers a 0-hour contract for 12 months, with a salary up to £13.25 per hour depending on skills and experience.

The successful candidate will work within the Dolphin and Turtle Rooms (2–3s) and Starfish Room (pre‑Reception), delivering age‑appropriate activities, maintaining a safe learning environment, and supporting the room leader while promoting

Qualifications

An excellent understanding of the EYFS curriculum.
Experience in planning inspiring activities for children aged 0-5 to explore and enjoy.
Have a completed Early Years Level qualification (Level 2 or above) (not essential).
Be confident in creating a stimulating environment that enables children to become confident learners.
Excellent communicator with the ability to quickly build relationships with the children and their parents.

Responsibilities

To plan and deliver a range of age-appropriate activities focusing on each individual child’s interests.
To ensure that a safe, stimulating environment is maintained for children while overseeing the implementation of activities.
To work alongside the staff team to ensure that the Nursery’s ethos is being fulfilled.
To work with all staff in promoting good staff practices across the Nursery and always ensure the safety of the children and their environment.
To liaise with and fully support your room leader.
To ensure that all child development records are updated, where applicable.
To discreetly attend to young children’s toileting needs.
To adhere to all nursery policies on safeguarding, health and safety and food hygiene etc.
