Job summary

Bright Horizons Otterbourne Day Nursery in Otterbourne is seeking a flexible Nursery Practitioner to support EYFS delivery, engaging children in educational activities and helping them reach developmental milestones.

You will join our Bright Flex/Bank team, blending the flexibility of agency work with the benefits of being a permanent employee. The role includes safeguarding checks, shifts across 2–5 days, and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification.
• Previous experience working with children – Nursery Practitioner, Nursery Nurse, Early Years Educator, Nanny, Childminder or similar.
• Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child.
• Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults.
• Sound understanding of child protection and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of the EYFS through engaging children in entertaining and educational activities.
• Encourage children's development towards key milestones.
• Work as part of a larger team to complete day-to-day tasks, such as room tidying and preparation.
