Job summary

Vision for Education is seeking a caring EYFS Nursery Assistant to provide temporary bank cover in a Stroud primary school nursery. This role offers flexibility with hours and the opportunity to support early years learners in a friendly environment.

The position pays £14.24–£16.50 per hour (dependent on experience and qualifications) and suits someone who enjoys helping young children develop confidence, communication, and independence through play-based activities.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children aged 0-5 years.
• A relevant childcare qualification (Level 3 preferred).
• Enhanced DBS or willingness to apply.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Supporting children within the nursery and EYFS environment
• Helping deliver play-based learning activities
• Encouraging children's communication and independence
• Supporting personal care routines where required
• Helping maintain a safe and stimulating classroom environment
• Working alongside Early Years staff to support children's development
• Supporting children with SEND where appropriate
